The introduction of the AFL Women’s competition in 2017 changed the landscape of women’s sport in Australia forever. Since its introduction there’s been very steady growth in popularity. As it continues to grow and change, so does the broader community’s opinions about women in football. Now, young girls have more opportunities than ever to realise their dreams of playing AFLW.
The Footy Factory was established with a vision to give girls from all backgrounds and abilities the opportunity to play Australian Rules Football. We exist to motivate, inspire, and teach girls in a safe and fun environment through coaching and education on the field, and an off field community hub.
